ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Asad Umer warned of shutting down the wedding halls, indoor restaurants, and other enjoyment-related stuff. If the SOP’s are not implemented as the 4th wave of COVID-19 is starting to hit Pakistan. Early signs of 4th wave are being observed in Pakistan according to NCOC.
In the latest tweet, Asad Umer said. “2 weeks back I had tweeted that our artificial intelligence models are showing possible emergence of 4th wave. Now there are clear early signs of the 4th wave starting. Poor sop compliance, coupled with the spread of variants of concern, Indian variant, in particular, are the main cause.”
Asad Umer shows displeasure over the non-compliance of COVID-19 protocols. In one of his tweets related to the 4th wave, he said. “Field reports are showing a complete disregard of the condition of vaccination. For those attending indoor weddings and going to indoor restaurants & gyms. If the owners of these facilities do not show responsibility & ensure compliance. There will be no choice but to shut them down.
The chief of the National Command and Operation Centre also warned about the 4th. As the country is having a positivity rate of more than 3% for consecutive three days.
the previous day the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan also shows concern about the increasing cases of Positive COVID-19 cases and he urged the masses to strictly observe the government-mandated COVID-19 SOPs on eid ul Adha to keep the virus at bay. He also warned about the dangers of the Delta variant which firstly emerged in India and currently Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia are suffering from it.
